Ditch & Switch Diapers

Diaper companies do NOT have to disclose the ingredients of their diapers on the packaging. They also do not have to be tested for safety before they hit the shelves.

Because of this extreme lack of regulation, many conventional diapers contain toxic chemicals like:

  • Phthalates: Commonly found in fragrance formulations and plastic. Linked directly to developmental and reproductive toxicity.

  • Undisclosed fragrances: Can contain over 3,000 chemicals, full of MANY toxins associated with endocrine system disruption, asthma, eczema/skin irritation and much more.

  • Lotions: Often petroleum based and fragranced. but we don’t know the exact formula of the lotion in the diaper, because it isn’t disclosed.

  • VOCs: Volatile Organic Chemicals like toluene, xylene and methylene chloride have all been found in several conventional diaper brands. Per the EPA and CDC, exposure to these VOCs are linked to dizziness, skin irritation, allergic reactions and damage to the kidneys and CNS.

  • Dioxins: Released as a result of the chlorine bleaching process. They are carcinogenic, linked to developmental and reproductive toxicity, hormone disruption and immune system toxicity.

These toxic chemicals are sitting against your baby’s external genitalia at all hours. It’s not worth it, when there are MANY safer options available:
